Reminder: Week 3 schedule to be played on May 23rd

Just a reminder. The games that were canceled last week have been rescheduled for July 4th. The games scheduled on May 23rd have not changed from the initial Week 3 Schedule.

All May 16th games are postponed to July 4th, 2007

• After driving to Tomlinson, Elson, James Edwards, and Wilclay on my way to work this morning, only Tomlinson is currently playable.


• All of the other parks have large pools of water covering home plate and different parts of the infield.


• In conjunction with the forecast of more rain later in the day, today's games have been postponed and will be rescheduled for Wednesday July 4, 2007.


• Hopefully this will be out last rain out for a while.


• Reminder, any teams heading over to Boston Pizza after work tonight will be eligible for a 20% discount instead of 15% off of their meal since our games were rained out.

2007 Boston Pizza (Warden and Steeles Ave) Info

• The Patio and bar area will be closed to the public as of 7pm on Wednesday nights between May 9th and September 12th
• Our league members will receive a 15% discount off their bill (food and pop, not including alcohol) any time they eat at Boston Pizza (Warden and Steeles location only) - Monday to Sunday, Lunch or Dinner (ie. not just on game nights)
• Each team will receive 1 free pitcher of domestic beer each Wednesday they go back to Boston Pizza after their game is over
• Each team will receive 1 free pitcher of pop (Diet or Regular) each Wednesday they go back to Boston Pizza after their game is over
• Each team will receive an assorted plate of appetizers (ie. Nachos, Garlic Twists, Texas Cut Potatoes, etc.) each Wednesday they go back to Boston Pizza after their game is over
• On a Wednesday night when a rain out is declared, Boston Pizza will be notified of that rain out and Boston Pizza will increase the bill discount from 15% to 20% as incentive to attract league members to come to BP
• If the league spends a total of $7,000.00 by July 1st, the 15% discount offered on a non Rain Out night will be increased to 20%
• Lastly, 10% of all expenses that are attributed to the league will be made available to the IBM Canada SloPitch league to help pay for our year end banquet
• It is our goal to have the cost of attending the banquet on September 15th be reduced from $8 per person to $5 due to increased expenses by our league in 2007
• As in seasons past, we will be keeping track of receipt totals by team for year end prizes to the highest spending teams.
• So, please remember to write your team name on all game night receipts and to drop the receipts into the plastic box along one of the railings at BP.
• Each team will need to deposit their receipts into our league box so totals can be tracked.
