Is it necessary to tag a runner at second or third base to record an out if it is not a force out?
One team was sure that you had to tag a runner to record the out while the other team was sure that you just needed to have possession of the ball and touch the base before the base runner did.
Ian, tagging a runner is necessary in this league when there is no force. Same as regular Softball rules. The only exception is at home plate, the catcher only needs to be on home plate and can not tag a runner. This is to avoid collisions at home plate. If you have any questions, you can call me.
